Evgeni's Profile

I was born September 1980 in a small town
in Bulgaria. Since 18 years old I have
been working as a graphic and web designer.
Recently I graduated as a filmmaker.

My first experience in the design field was in local cable television channel where I did the design of small advertisements, mostly static ones. In 2 years
I learned various image and video editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere.

It was the WWW from where I gathered knowledge about the use of type, composition, shape, color
and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). I became familiar with Flash and ActionScript and worked
on various visual experiments.

In 2002 I created the first issue of Digitally
Shared Magazine (sharedmagazine.com) which quickly became a famous online magazine among young and creative people from Bulgaria.

My passion to experiment with digital content connected me with Interspace New Media Arts Center. We did several exhibitoions and a lot of international art projects. I was interested in
new-media, interactive and video experiments.

Education

Recently I was graduated from New Bulgarian University's programme Cinema and Television Directing. I was involved in several film
projects in a position of director, video editor, operator and sound recordist.

My high-school education is Basic Computer Programming at National High School of Mathematics (PMG) - Dobrich, Bulgaria - 1994-1999
